Common questions
Questions owners ask first.
Short, straight answers. If yours is not here, ask it in a private conversation.
Do I need to be ready to sell?
No. You do not need a plan, a timetable or a decision. A first conversation commits you to nothing, and deciding to change nothing is a reasonable outcome.
What should I bring?
What you would like to happen, a rough sense of timing and any questions. Accounts, client or worker names, contracts and valuations are not needed for your first enquiry, so please do not send them.
Will you tell anyone we have spoken?
Not without your agreement, unless the law requires it. Nothing about you or your business goes to a buyer or investor without your specific written approval naming the recipient.
Do you value businesses?
No. We do not give valuations or estimate a price. An accountant or corporate-finance adviser acting for you is the right person to ask.
Do you find buyers or run a sale?
No. We do not look for buyers or investors, run a sale process, market your business, negotiate or arrange a transaction, and we cannot promise a buyer, an investor or a sale.
Is this only for recruitment businesses?
At the moment we speak with owners of recruitment and workforce businesses. If yours is in another sector, we will tell you plainly when we reply.
Who will I speak to?
Someone who handles Kingsway M&A enquiries. You will know their name before you speak.
