Our approach

How the first conversation works.

What happens before, during and after, and how we handle what you tell us.

Discuss your options privately

Before, during and after

  1. Before

    You get in touch.

A name and a way to reply is enough. We reply to agree a time that suits you, or to tell you if we are not the right fit.

    Bring

    • What you would like to happen
    • A rough sense of timing
    • Any questions you have

Not needed for your first enquiry

    • Accounts or management information
    • Client, worker or employee names
    • Contracts, valuations or due-diligence documents
  2. During

A conversation about what you want.

We listen first, then talk through the business in broad terms, your timing and who else is involved, such as your accountant or solicitor.

    • What you want to happen, and why now.
    • What matters most to you: timing, your people and your own role.
    • Where your own accountant or solicitor comes in.
  3. After

    You decide what happens next.

That may be nothing for now, or speaking to your own accountant or solicitor first.

Whatever you decide, there is no obligation.

Confidentiality

How we handle
what you tell us.

  1. 01

Handled privately. Kept in Kingsway’s own records system and not shared without your agreement, unless the law requires it.

  2. 02

Not for marketing. It is not added to mailing lists or used for marketing.

  3. 03

Kept to a minimum. We note only what is needed to follow up the conversation you asked for.

  4. 04

Your approval, in writing. Nothing goes to any buyer or investor without your specific written approval naming the recipient.

Our role

Two things to know
about our role.

We are not your adviser.

Kingsway M&A is not your corporate-finance, legal, tax or accounting adviser. We do not advise on the merits, price or terms of a transaction. Please take independent professional advice from your own accountant, solicitor and, where it fits, a corporate-finance adviser.

A conversation first.

Kingsway M&A offers a confidential first conversation about what you want to happen, and tells you plainly when it is not the right fit.

We do

  • Listen to what you want to happen
  • Keep what you tell us private
  • Tell you plainly what we can and cannot do
  • Reply to say so when we are not the right fit

We do not

  • Value your business or estimate a price
  • Look for buyers or investors on your behalf
  • Negotiate on your behalf or arrange a transaction
  • Run a sale process or market your business
  • Promise a buyer, an investor or a sale

Ready to talk it through?

A name and a way to reply are enough, and we will be in touch.
